Sensei Aidan Cartwright - Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Aidan Cartwright began his study of Wado-Kai Karate in 2009 under the guidance of Sensei Patrick Clancy. AIDAN was one of Sensei Clancy’s first three students. Aidan spent four and a half years with the club before being tested for his Shodan in May 2014. Aidan enjoys learning and teaching Karate in Yellowknife, the city where he was born and has spent most of his life. He hopes to see more young people take an interest in their physical education and looks forward to there being more Yellowknife karateka in the future.
Aidan has participated in several tournaments in Alberta, winning awards in kata, kumite and shindo competitions. Aidan is also considering trying out in 2016 for the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation National Team which competes both domestically and internationally.
